Private health fund rebates

I am a member of the Australian Counselling Association (Level 4, membership 12259) and an accredited provider for the private health funds shown below. Many funds rebate counselling under their extras cover.

How much you get back depends on your fund, your level of extras cover, and any annual limit or waiting period on your policy, so it differs from person to person. Please contact your fund before your first session to confirm what you can claim. It helps to ask:

• Is counselling covered under my extras cover?
• How much will I receive per session, and is there a yearly limit?
• Is there a waiting period before I can claim?
• Do you need anything from me or my counsellor to process the claim?

Your booking confirmation and invoice show the details most funds ask for. If your fund needs anything more, call me on 0466 840 148 and I will do what I can to help.

Counselling with me is not covered by Medicare. Counsellors are not eligible under the Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan, so a GP referral or plan is not needed and does not apply. Rebates, where they are available, come from your private health fund.

Booking and cancellation

Because of frequent no-shows, all sessions must be paid in full when you book and are non-refundable. You can reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your session. Rescheduling within 24 hours of your session incurs a $50 fee.

Rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice incurs a $50 fee.
