Responsibilities in Relationships
The biggest lie couples buy into is choosing someone that makes them happy.
You’ve probably heard this for most of your life. You find someone you think will make you happy. They make you laugh. You feel good when you’re with them. They put you 1st in the beginning.
They take you out. Everything is brand new and exciting.
After 12mths of marriage or living together things are no longer as exciting. The relationship has lost its shine. Your partner doesn’t make you feel happy anymore. You begin to think I must not be in love. We need to part.
This is a common mistake of many couples today. Making your partner responsible for your happiness is a huge burden on them. It is also a codependent relationship.
We need to take responsibility for our own happiness. Happiness has to come from within.
Happiness comes from self-acceptance, understanding your value and having a purpose and goals.
