Relationship Strengths
Do You Know Your Partners Strengths?
We tend to focus on the other persons weaknesses as well as our own. We can become critical of the other person and look for ways to change them.
But what would happen if we focused on the strengths of both our partner and ourselves?
When a couple recognises the strengths of the other person, they work well together, bond together, support each others successes and achievements.
They connect on an emotional and physical level.
When one person is critical of the other person, they look for solutions. They expect the other person to change to suit them. They put themselves in the center of the relationship instead of the other person. They look to get only their needs met instead of finding out what it is their partner is needing from them.
Acknowledging your partners strengths opens the way for open and honest communication because each person trusts the other with their heart.
If one person is critical the other person will shut down emotionally.
When two people connect emotionally it cultivates kindness, forgiveness, unconditional love, encouragement and even self awareness and reflection.
