Relationship Conflict

Relationship Conflict

During conflict, it is easy to focus on how it makes you feel, deflect, justify your past behaviour and play the blame game. But how does this affect the relationship?

It leaves two people not feeling heard, creates division, fracturing the emotional and physical intimacy.

No resolution will be found.

During conflict, stop to listen to your partner. Ask how you can support them? What are they needing?

You maybe thinking, but what about my needs? Aren’t they important too?

If two people take themselves out of the center of the relationship and put the other person first, then each person’s needs will be met.

This will strengthen the relationship emotionally and physically because it builds the bond in the relationship between two people.
