Living with a Narcissist

To those outside the family, they are charming and may even portray themselves as a victim. Within their family, they are abusive,(verbally, financially, sexually, spiritually and or psychologically and emotionally.) If they have children, one child maybe their “golden child” whom they are obsessed with.

They may also sabotage the other parent’s relationship with their child/children. They are expert emotional manipulators and gaslighters leaving their victim second guessing their own reality, feelings, environment and perceptions. The victim stops questioning the narcissists actions and words which do not match up.

The victim no longer knows which way is up. The narcissist sabotages the victims reputation to family and friends by twisting the truth.

The victim is portrayed as the abuser after long term manipulation, abuse and gaslighting because of new boundaries the victim has been forced to put down.
