Have you ever been Ghosted in your relationship
This appears to be the latest trend in relationships thanks to online dating. Meeting as many people at one time has never been so easy as it is today so people have become desensitized to walking away from relationships without letting the other person know.
People talk online anywhere from a day to a week or two before they meet in person or speak on the phone. By this time they feel a real connection emotionally and have already established what they have in common. They will speak at length for hours every day and possibly throughout the night. Waiting for their call is no different to an addiction during that “honeymoon” phase and they may have talked about activities they can do together.
By this stage their friends may have heard about their relationship and a few dates may have taken place.
Suddenly without warning that person you felt that strong connection with, who you can be yourself and vulnerable with, stops messaging and phoning you. You begin to ask yourself “Was this your fault?”
You go through their fb account to make sure theyve been posting so you know theyre safe. You see theyre still posting but theyre not talking to you. Why are they ignoring your messages? Dont they understand what this is doing to you?
The short answer is they dont care! As hard as this is to hear, its the truth.
You begin to question if your relationship with this person was genuine.
They haven’t given you the courtesy of breaking up with you!! There’s no closure, only the pain and agonizing lonliness deep down in your soul.
There’s no way of preventing this from happening again. Don’t let this stop you from opening your heart to the right person and know what it says about them is they do not have the emotional maturity to be in an adult relationship.
